Zen Lakeside Getaway Nova Scotia
Hi, we are Lisa and Andy and we are originally from Ontario Canada. Soon after falling in love with each other, we fell in love with Nova Scotia. It was love at first site, in both cases.
Nova Scotia is like no other, it is so authentic and down to earth, with it's slower paced way of life, breathtaking coastlines, oceans, scenery and nature, and the people are truly amazing!
With all that, and much more, it became our dream to move here and enjoy all that we fell in love with. Our dream has come true, and now we would love to share that with you.

Just picture relaxing on the dock or the beach, swimming in the lake, or going for a paddle on the water. Maybe it's simply just taking a walk through the woods or star gazing at night.
If you would like a little adventure too, take a short drive to Digby and check out The Bay of Fundy from one of the scenic hiking trails. While in historic Digby you can enjoy the local culture, restaurants, pubs, live music, and markets. You might be considering whale watching, if so you’re in luck because the Digby area is one of the best places in North America for that.
If wine tasting whet's your fancy, perfect...because Nova Scotia’s renowned wine county is just around the corner. Venture a short trip over to Bear River or Annapolis Valley region and visit one of the many outstanding vineyards & wineries. Craft beer breweries...? got that too!

We have the Dockside Den and the Sunset Suite
Both share the same amazing sunsets, plus access to covered lakeside seating, stone fireplace, the dock, the beach, swimming, canoes, pedal boat, hiking, games, etc.
Holy smokes, so much to do, or nothing at all... it's all up to you. At Zen Lakeside Getaway NS you set the pace!
Dockside Den
This intimate and relaxing 1 bedroom cabin sits right at the waters edge. It has a full kitchen with solid maple live edge counter top, cozy lounging area with a wood pellet fireplace, and all of this has incredible front row seat views of the lake. Plus this incredible cabin has a one of a kind bathroom with countertops and window frame made with drift wood sourced right from the shore of The Bay of Fundy. To finish off this space enjoy the very private bedroom with vaulted ceilings, Queen bed, and comfortable furnishings. There is a pull-out sofa in the event of additional guests.
This value packed setting is available for $340 per night (2 night minimum).

This beautiful 2 bedroom suite has a birds-eye view of the lake, nature, and the seemingly endless woods. When you enter this inviting space you are greeted with an open concept lounge and very functional U-shaped kitchen. This entire comfortable area is adorned with several large windows directly overlooking pristine Porters Lake. With this superior vantage point keep your eyes open for a loon, the occasional passing sailboat, and daily breath-taking unobstructed sunsets. Of course there is a generous sized bedroom with large beamed ceilings, Queen bed, and great views of our private beach. Next to that is a modern, clean, and comfortable bathroom with a tub with relaxing nature views. Beyond that is another bedroom with a double bed, or can be used as a reading room, office space, or maybe for your morning Yoga...
